D&I Drilling were commissioned by Orthios to assess the former Anglesey Aluminium site. Previous work by others had identified a risk to deep groundwater for parts of the site.
The site was an existing retail outlet, which was to be redeveloped. Due to the store being open during the day, all intrusive work had to be undertaken during night time hours.
D&I Drilling were commissioned to carry out overnight drilling to minimise impact to the local road network and avoiding direct drilling on the M62.
